New Tires

Tires require increased attention to achieve their full potential of extended service and correct ride control. Tire wear that is uneven or premature is usually a good diagnostic aid to provide clear evidence of steering and suspension system problems.

Lets get started

TIRE WIDTH

Tire width is represented by the first three numbers following the tire type letter (P215 or LT225). In our example of P225/50 R17 98H. The numbers 225 are the width of the tire in millimeters measured from sidewall to sidewall.

TIRE ASPECT RATIO

The aspect ratio is a percentage that tells you the ratio of the tire’s height to its width. In our example of P225/50 R17 98H, the aspect ratio number “50” means that the tire’s height is 50 percent of its width. The larger the number, the taller the tire’s sidewall or profile.

WHEEL DIAMETER

Wheel diameter consists of the last two numbers following the tire construction letter (R). In our P225/50 R17 98H example, the “17” means the tire would fit a rim with a 17-inch diameter.

Tire maintenance

Tire maintenance is crucial for ensuring safety, performance, and longevity. By focusing on inflation, rotation, and evaluation, you can maximize the lifespan of your tires and maintain optimal driving conditions. Keeping your tires properly inflated, rotating them regularly to promote even wear, and regularly evaluating their condition for signs of wear and tear or damage are key practices to ensure your tires perform at their best for as long as possible.
